Davey is actually Dave Goddard, married father of two from deepest Dorset and just a little tiny bit car obsessed!
Having owned a succession of affordable but slightly sporty cars, he was looking for a local car club to meet up with other like minded souls but accidentally realised that being a member of an MSA affiliated club opens up the whole world of amateur motorsport.
Autotest slaloms led to sprints and hillclimbs and a Lotus Elise as one of the lightest and most powerful cars in class… to try and cover up for a lack of natural talent!
